I Love You
Amina Saith became a published author with her debut poetry collection, ‘Why, Love?’. She has gone on to publish two more books in the field of poetry. These works are just the beginning of what she wishes to accomplish as a writer. Saith has big ambitions to be in every room where writing happens. Saith has many ideas for books and can’t wait to share. Amina’s goal as a writer is to provoke feelings and conversations. She waits for the day to be in the room with other authors and writers alike.
Poem 1
Love, why do you always come to an end? Isn’t the point of finding you is to find fulfillment. To find forever with someone.
Why does it come to an end?
Why do they always go away?
Love, tell me what is your point.
What is the purpose?
I Love You
I want to love you
And not just for the hell of it.
Love you in the shade
of the sunrise and sunset.
Love you like you are the air
I need to breathe.
If I don’t, I fear what it will do to me. It is not everyday you meet your soulmate. At least I feel like I found mine in you. I’m wishing on a willow tree,
I find them romantic.
It's the first place I met you.
I felt my heart skip a beat when
We made eye contact.
My stomach did flips when you said “hi”. So, you see I need to love you.
You are mine.
I feel it deep within.
The sunset, that settled that night settled in love At peace with the ocean.
Where I'm from, that's a sign.
Our love won't be on a whim.
It will blend like the ocean and the sand. My love for you will be
Like the birth of a new day.
It will always be there with endless possibilities. So, if you were to reject me now.
I fear I will perish with the wind.
To sweep me away from the heartache. I will no longer exist in a world like this. So you see, you need to love me too.
